Hi! I'm Dave. I'm a software engineer living in Baltimore, MD with my wife and dog. I have experience working on AI tools, videoconferencing, data and ML pipelines, and ERP software. I enjoy making software reliable and understanding the stack top to bottom. I'm currently at videoconferencing and AI startup Gather working on our company context for LLMs product suite and previously led our realtime video team as a manager and then a tech lead.
When I'm not writing software, I enjoy martial arts. I have a second degree black belt in Chito-ryu karate, which I study under Hanshi Terry Valentino at the Yoseikan Dojo in Pittsburgh, PA, and a third degree black belt in Isshin-ryu karate. I also like snowboarding, video games, and reading for pleasure.
